Reese Heidecker, OT
As a Registered Occupational Therapist, I am passionate about supporting children, their families, and the communities who care for them. I believe every child deserves access to high quality, individualized care no matter where they live, and I work hard to help make that a reality.
I have more than 15 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist. I love thinking creatively and bringing a flexible approach to my work. I am especially committed to building strong partnerships with parents, caregivers, educators, and community members. I am deeply invested in reconciliation and in learning from the people and communities I work with. I believe strongly that we are all Treaty people, and I carry that responsibility respectfully in both my personal and professional life.
I believe all people deserve the opportunity to be themselves and to fully explore the beautiful land we share. Many barriers have been created that prevent some individuals from doing so. My goal is to help people find ways to explore, learn, and enjoy life in the ways that feel right to them, while supporting them in breaking through barriers.
Social and emotional well being is at the heart of everything I do. I believe it is the foundation for all learning and development. I work closely with families and educators to understand what they hope to gain from therapy and to guide them through the process with clarity and care.
I am an active parent of four wonderful children. We love camping, biking, and being silly together. I especially enjoy being outdoors, whether Iām on the water, in the snow, or riding my bike in the mountains.
