Our Approach
Find a Tamaca professional who meets your needs.
Seeking support can feel overwhelming, but at Tamaca we strive to make the process simple, personalized, and reassuring.
1
Tell Us What You’re Looking For
We start by listening. When you reach out, we’ll ask you a few straightforward questions about what you’re looking for. By understanding your situation, goals, and any preferences, we can tailor our response just for you. (Don’t worry if you’re not sure exactly what you need – our team will guide you through the right questions.)
2
Get Personalized Recommendations
Based on what you share, we discuss as a team and identify which of our team members or programs would be the best fit. We consider factors like the professional’s specialty, experience with similar communities or needs, and scheduling availability. Then we come back to you with our personalized suggestions. We’ll outline why we think these choices are a good match, keeping your goals front and centre.
3
Choose Your Therapist & Plan
You decide which option feels right for you. We’ll provide a clear plan and a quote for services with each recommended team member. We encourage you to take your time with this decision. Our goal is that you feel confident and comfortable with who will be working with you. Once you pick the right therapist, we move forward together, setting up the schedule and any necessary agreements.

“Sometimes asking for help can be scary. Tamaca takes the fear and anxiety out of the equation by guiding you step by step. We’ll give you personalized recommendations for providers who truly understand your needs so you can feel at ease from the very start.”

Tamaca Therapists love to work with their clients in person whenever possible as our goals and interventions are always built on the foundation of a trusting, connected relationship. Meeting in person makes building these connections so easy! However, sometimes circumstances require virtual services – which have come a long way! Ultimately, it is the client’s choice which may be determined by funding and more recently, by Covid restrictions.
-
Online services require a quiet space, a computer, laptop, or tablet, and access to the internet. Online services for younger children also require an adult to participate. This is an excellent way to build capacity in the parent, caregiver, or support worker which will help them help the child between therapy sessions.
