Machelle Champagne
I am a Registered Dietitian with more than 15 years of experience, with a focus on providing culturally safe, patient centered nutrition counselling for both the prevention and management of nutrition related concerns. I also support the development of programs that address broader nutrition and health priorities within communities.
My work is rooted in a deep commitment to improving health and wellness through food and nutrition. I am inspired by the power of nutrition to prevent and treat disease, but also to empower individuals, families, and communities to make choices that honour both their health and their cultural traditions. My motivation as a Dietitian comes from the belief that food is more than nutrition. It is connection, identity, and healing. Supporting people in strengthening those connections while improving their health is what gives my work purpose.
Collaboration is central to my practice. Working alongside clients, families, and community partners helps ensure that nutrition interventions respect personal beliefs and values and are practical, meaningful, and empowering. This approach supports sustainable, long term changes.
Outside of work, I value time spent with my family. I enjoy cooking with loved ones, spending time outdoors, and supporting one another in our activities.
