Emily Doro, SLPA
My name is Emily, and I work at Tamaca as a Speech Therapy Assistant. I support children and families by implementing speech and language goals developed by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist in ways that are engaging, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate.
Working alongside families and interdisciplinary teams has strengthened my ability to adapt strategies, build rapport quickly, and support communication skills that carry over into everyday life.
I bring a warm, creative, and playful approach to my work. I believe in meeting children where they are, using connection, humour, and creativity to help them feel safe, confident, and supported. Iām inspired by the joy, honesty, and individuality children bring into every interaction.
I value child led approaches, collaboration, and genuine connection. Building meaningful relationships with families and working together as a team is central to what I do, ensuring that strategies feel practical and achievable within daily routines.
Outside of work, I enjoy baking, reading, watching horror movies, and spending time with my two cats.
