Taunya Wirzba, PT

Taunya is a Physiotherapist who has been working with children from birth to 18, for over 25 years.  She has worked in culturally diverse urban and rural school and home settings, as well as at the Glenrose and Stollery Children’s Hospitals. She prioritizes the importance of recognizing that each child has unique strengths and gifts which contribute to making their homes and communities whole.  Her areas of programming expertise include individual and community needs identification and program planning, collaboration and coaching with team members and families, working with children having complex medical and/or developmental needs, and exploring equipment needs. She emphasizes using a routine-based approach to intervention, sensory motor approach to movement, development of physical literacy, and trauma informed practice.  Taunya strives to work as part of a team, providing a cultural safety approach to service delivery to build relationships with the child, their family, and their intervention team.

She and her husband live in Edmonton and have 3 adult children and a couple of crazy dogs and cats!
