Candace Achtymichuk, OT
Candace Achtymichuk is an Occupational Therapist in good standing with SAOT, ACOT and CAOT. She specializes in the treatment and management of infants, children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, skeletal, or acquired disorders/diseases. Treatments focus on improving gross and fine motor skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills, balance and coordination, strength and endurance, self/mutual regulation, sensory processing, as well as feeding and self-care skills. Candace is able to dispense and make custom made splints and foot orthotics, as well as adaptive equipment (non-AADL). She can provide counselling and support in the areas of health and wellness, positive mental health, stress management, work place setup, energy conservation, and home modifications. Candace has extensive experience working with children with autism and a variety of other conditions both in their home and school/community settings. She is available and has experience in providing educational presentations to staff, parents and community members on a variety of topics, that can be custom selected. She is also available and has experience in program development and resource management for agencies and communities.
