Andrea Wuetherick, OT
Andrea is an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience working with children from birth to 18 years of age. She has worked in various urban and rural locations in Northern Alberta including schools, homes, and other community locations. As an Occupational Therapist she values the opportunity that she has to learn about the activities that are meaningful to children, families, and communities. She prioritizes working together to build on strengths and address any barriers to support success at home, school, and in the community. She has extensive experience in community and individual needs identification and program planning, as well as supporting children with complex developmental, learning, and medical needs. She has had unique opportunities to develop specialized skills for early intervention and development (birth to 6 years), mental health (including trauma informed practice, social-emotional learning, executive functioning and problem solving skills, and developing sensory/calming programs), supporting culturally diverse groups including First Nations communities, routine-based intervention in homes, and supporting differentiated programming to support groups of children with learning and play. She and her husband live in Sherwood Park with their two children and giant dog!
